Who We Are

Welcome to Venture 44! We’re a small, pop-up based bookstore with big aspirations. At the heart of what we do is a deep belief in the power of community, creativity, and literacy. Our curated selection reflects these values, with a special focus on memoirs, autobiographies, poetry and fiction. We strive to offer an inclusive range of books that speak to readers of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.

 

As a pop-up bookstore, our in-person events are where we showcase the majority of our inventory, but we’ve handpicked a few of our best selling experiences for our online store. Our online offerings are limited, but we’re always expanding and excited to share more as we grow.

 

At Venture 44, we are passionate about the written word, but we are equally committed to amplifying all voices, especially those from Black and Brown communities. We believe that everyone should have access to stories that reflect their experiences, and we make it a priority to highlight authors from diverse backgrounds. Literacy is for everyone, and we’re here to share the love of reading with all groups, in the hope that it fosters understanding, connection, and inspiration.

 

We also love collaborating with local businesses to create unique pop-up events, where we can meet readers face-to-face, build relationships, and strengthen our communities. Our mission is to bring books, creativity, and conversation to life through these collaborations and be part of the ongoing evolution of bookstores.

 

Venture 44 may be small, but we’re committed to big dreams and a big impact. As we continue to grow, we’re excited to expand our offerings and bring our pop-up bookstore to even more communities.
